ERNEST T. HOLLEY. [CIVIL WAR].
Autograph Letter Signed, to his sister. “Camp near Trenton,” Ga., October 8, 1863 To his sister. 1 p. 5 x 7½ in.
“You know not the anxiety with which I have been awaiting some news from home. Other of our boys have received letters which afford me a little pleasure – but none in comparison with that which could be felt on receiving one myself. Things have changed materially & matrimonially too I suppose. Several of our sweethearts have married we hear, others more true are awaiting our return. God bless their fidelity…write often perhaps I will get one out of the many which may be sent.”
