Lincoln’s 13-day journey from Springfield, Illinois, to Washington, D.C., has become legendary. Here, the newspaper of record reports the trip, beginning on the front page with “The Incoming Administration,” followed by the “Progress of the President Elect Towards Washington,” “Impressive Ceremonies at Independence Hall in Philadelphia,” reports of the “Speeches of Mr. Lincoln,” “He Raises an American Flag with Thirty-four Stars,” “Incidents of the Trip from Philadelphia to Harrisburg” as well as reporting other “Important Speeches Before the Pennsylvania Legislature” among other news of the day.

Condition

Overall very fine, noting a small, light stain at lower right corner of all pages.  No tears, but several holes in left edge from removal from binding.
